Pattern Completion

Pattern completion is the process of recognizing or finishing a pattern when only part of it is visible or known. Think of it like seeing a few puzzle pieces and being able to visualize or complete the rest of the picture. For example, if you see a familiar song played halfway, your brain can often predict the remaining notes. This ability helps systems, like artificial intelligence or the human brain, quickly make sense of incomplete information by using learned patterns and previous experiences, filling in the gaps to understand or predict what’s missing.
