patronage refunds
Patronage refunds are returns of part of a cooperative’s profits to its members, who actively use or buy from the cooperative. When a cooperative earns income, it might share a portion of that profit with members based on their level of participation, such as purchases made or services used. This refund recognizes members’ contributions and helps ensure the cooperative benefits those who support it. Essentially, it's a way for members to receive a share of the cooperative’s success proportionate to their involvement.
