
Patriarch Dimitrije (Dimitrije of Serbia)
Patriarch Dimitrije, also known as Dimitrije of Serbia, was a prominent Orthodox Christian leader and the spiritual head of the Serbian Orthodox Church from 1937 to 1938. As Patriarch, he oversaw religious activities, promoted national identity, and navigated church-state relations during a turbulent period leading up to World War II. His leadership helped strengthen Serbian Orthodox traditions, foster community unity, and preserve religious heritage amidst political and social challenges. Although his tenure was brief, he remains a significant figure in the history of the Serbian Church.
