Pathfinder Force
Pathfinder Force was a specialized group within the Royal Air Force during World War II, created to improve bombing accuracy. Their role was to locate and mark targets precisely using advanced navigation and marking techniques, such as flares and lights, for the main bomber force. This dedicated team increased the effectiveness of bombing raids by ensuring bombs hit intended targets, reducing collateral damage and missed strikes. By guiding the larger bombing missions, the Pathfinder Force significantly enhanced the RAF's strategic bombing capabilities during the war.
