Patent Troll

A patent troll is a person or company that holds patents but does not produce products or services based on those patents. Instead, they seek to make money by suing or demanding payments from other companies that use similar technology, often without actually innovating or manufacturing anything themselves. Their goal is to profit through legal actions rather than contributing to technological development, which can sometimes hinder innovation and burden businesses with costly legal disputes.
