Patchwork theory
Patchwork theory is a concept from international relations that views the world's countries as interconnected pieces of a quilt. Each piece, or nation, has its own unique identity, policies, and history. When these pieces come together—through diplomacy, alliances, and cooperation—they form a whole that is more stable and functional. The theory emphasizes that global stability depends on respecting each country's differences while working collaboratively. Like individual patches in a quilt, each country's well-being contributes to the overall integrity of the international system, highlighting the importance of balancing national interests with collective security and cooperation.
