Pat Smear is an American musician best known as a guitarist for the influential rock band Nirvana and later the Foo Fighters. He is renowned for his skillful guitar playing and contributions to alternative and punk rock sounds. Smear originally joined Nirvana as a touring member in 1993 after completing their "In Utero" album, helping them perform live during their peak. After Nirvana disbanded following Kurt Cobain’s death, Smear became a founder of the band Foo Fighters alongside Dave Grohl. His versatile guitar work and dedication have made him a respected figure in rock music.
