Pasdaran

Pasdaran, also known as the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), is an elite military and security organization in Iran. Established after the 1979 Iranian Revolution, its main roles are protecting the country's Islamic system, maintaining internal security, and defending national interests. The IRGC also has significant influence over Iran’s economy, politics, and foreign policy, often through its specialized branches like the Quds Force, which is involved in regional activities. While it operates as a military force, the IRGC's activities extend beyond traditional defense, making it a powerful and multifaceted entity within Iran.
