Partition Tolerance is the ability of a system to continue functioning correctly even when parts of its network become disconnected or unable to communicate due to failures or network issues. Imagine a system with multiple servers; if one server can't communicate with the others temporarily, the system should still operate safely and reliably. This ensures that despite disruptions or network splits, the system maintains data integrity and service availability, prioritizing continued operation despite some parts being isolated.
