Particles in suspension
Particles in suspension are tiny solid or liquid fragments dispersed within a fluid (liquid or gas) that do not settle quickly due to their small size and the fluid's movement. These particles remain evenly spread throughout the medium, creating a mixture known as a suspension. Over time, if the fluid is left undisturbed, gravity may cause particles to settle out unless the mixture is constantly agitated. Examples include muddy water, paint, or air containing dust. Suspensions are common in nature and industry, and their stability depends on particle size, fluid properties, and external forces.
