Partial Derivatives

Partial derivatives measure how a specific variable affects a function when other variables are held constant. Imagine a landscape with hills and valleys that depends on multiple factors, like temperature and humidity. If we fix humidity and look at how the landscape changes with temperature, the partial derivative tells us the rate of change along that direction. It helps us understand how changing one variable influences the outcome, without considering how other variables fluctuate. In essence, partial derivatives break down complex multi-variable relationships into the impact of one variable at a time.
