Parsis of India
The Parsis of India are members of a Zoroastrian community descended from Persian immigrants who arrived around the 8th to 10th centuries to escape religious persecution in Persia. They practice Zoroastrianism, one of the world’s oldest monotheistic religions emphasizing truth, righteousness, and environmentalism. Although they are a small minority, Parsis have historically been influential in India's social, economic, and industrial development, contributing significantly to business, philanthropy, and culture. They maintain unique religious rituals and language (Avestan and Gujarati), and their community values tradition, education, and social responsibility.
