Parshvanatha
Parshvanatha was the 23rd Tirthankara in Jainism, an ancient Indian religion emphasizing non-violence and spiritual purification. Believed to have lived around the 9th century BCE, he is regarded as a spiritual teacher who promoted truth, compassion, and non-attachment. His teachings encourage followers to lead ethical lives, respect all living beings, and seek liberation from the cycle of birth and death. Parshvanatha is often depicted with a serpent hood over his head, symbolizing protection and enlightenment. His influence helped shape Jain philosophy and practice, emphasizing the importance of non-violence (ahimsa) as a fundamental principle.
