Parliament of New Zealand

The Parliament of New Zealand is the country's legislative body responsible for making laws, reviewing government policies, and representing citizens. It consists of two main parts: the House of Representatives, where Members of Parliament (MPs) debate and pass laws, and the Sovereign (the King or Queen), represented locally by the Governor-General. The government is formed by the political party or coalition with the majority of seats in the House. Parliament also holds the government accountable through questions and committees, ensuring transparency and accountability in public affairs.
