Parliament of Malaysia
The Parliament of Malaysia is the country's national legislative body, responsible for making laws. It consists of two chambers: the Dewan Rakyat (House of Representatives), whose members are elected by the people, and the Dewan Negara (Senate), whose members are appointed or elected by state legislative assemblies. Parliament debates and approves laws, allocates government funds, and checks the executive branch. It operates within a constitutional framework that balances power among various branches, providing a platform for democratic decision-making and representing the diverse interests of Malaysia’s citizens.
