Parinirvana

Parinirvana refers to the final, complete enlightenment and liberation from the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth (samsara) achieved by the Buddha upon his physical death. It signifies the state where all attachments, desires, and karmic residues are completely extinguished, allowing the individual to exist in a state of unchangeable peace and Nirvana forever. Unlike earthly nirvana, which may involve remaining in a physical form, Parinirvana marks the ultimate escape from all worldly existence, representing the highest realization of spiritual freedom in Buddhist tradition.
