Pararescue (PJs)

Pararescue, or PJs, are highly trained U.S. Air Force specialists responsible for rescuing and providing medical care to personnel in combat or emergency situations. They specialize in fast, precise rescue operations in challenging environments—by air, land, or sea—and are skilled in advanced medical treatment, including trauma care. Their mission often involves reaching injured individuals behind enemy lines, often under fire, and ensuring their safe extraction. PJs combine military combat skills with medical expertise, making them vital in saving lives during high-risk scenarios.
