Parametric tests

Parametric tests are statistical methods used to analyze data that meet certain conditions, such as having a normal distribution and equal variances. These tests help determine if there are significant differences or relationships between groups or variables. Examples include t-tests and ANOVA. They are powerful when assumptions are met because they make use of specific parameters like the mean and standard deviation. However, if data don't meet these assumptions, alternative methods called non-parametric tests are often used. Overall, parametric tests are core tools in analyzing quantitative data accurately when conditions are satisfied.
