Paramecium
Paramecium is a tiny, single-celled organism found in freshwater environments. It is covered with tiny hair-like structures called cilia, which it uses to move through water and to sweep food particles, like bacteria, into its oral groove. Inside, it has specialized structures for digestion, waste removal, and reproduction. Despite its small size, it performs essential life functions similar to larger organisms. Paramecium is often studied to understand basic biological processes and the diversity of microscopic life.
