In physics, paradigms are fundamental frameworks or sets of theories that shape how scientists understand the universe. They provide overarching principles and methods for investigating phenomena. When new evidence emerges that doesn't fit within a current paradigm, scientists may develop a new one, leading to shifts in understanding—these are called scientific revolutions. Examples include the transition from Newtonian mechanics to Einstein's relativity. Paradigms guide research and interpretation, helping scientists organize knowledge, but they can also evolve as our observations and insights deepen.
