Papias

Papias was an early Christian bishop from the early 2nd century who is known for his writings about the origins of Christian teachings. Although his works mostly survive through later references, he is recognized for emphasizing the importance of oral traditions and eyewitness accounts in understanding Jesus' life and the apostles’ teachings. Papias aimed to preserve the authentic teachings handed down from the apostles, particularly focusing on the stories of Jesus and his immediate followers.
