Papal Nunciature

A Papal Nunciature is the official diplomatic office of the Vatican (the Pope’s government) in a foreign country, functioning like an embassy. It represents the Pope’s interests, maintains diplomatic relations, and promotes cooperation between the Vatican and that nation. The head of a Nunciature, called the Nuncio, is a Vatican ambassador who also has a special role within the local church, serving as a liaison between the Vatican and the local Catholic bishops. Essentially, it's the Vatican's official presence abroad to foster religious, cultural, and diplomatic ties.
