Pantoums (Cinderella)

Cinderella, a well-known fairy tale, tells the story of a kind girl mistreated by her stepfamily who ultimately triumphs with the help of magic. In the context of a pantoum, a traditional poetic form originating from Malaysia, the story can be expressed poetically, using repeated lines to create rhythm and emphasis. A pantoum consists of a series of quatrains (four-line stanzas) where the second and fourth lines of each stanza become the first and third lines of the next. This structure can enhance the themes of repetition and transformation found in Cinderella’s journey from hardship to happiness.
