Panteras Negras
The Panteras Negras, or Black Panthers, was a revolutionary African American organization founded in 1966 to fight racial injustice and police brutality. They promoted self-defense, community empowerment, and social programs like health clinics and education. Known for their militant stance and iconic black uniforms, they aimed to improve conditions for Black Americans amid widespread discrimination. Although their activities were controversial and sometimes led to confrontations with authorities, they played a significant role in raising awareness about racial inequality and advocating for civil rights during the 1960s and early 1970s.
