Panj Pyare
The Panj Pyare, meaning "Five Beloved Ones," are the first five men who were initiated into the Sikh faith by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699, marking the founding of the Khalsa. They symbolize courage, humility, and devotion, serving as spiritual and communal leaders. Their act of initiation established a collective identity of equality and martial spirit among Sikhs. Today, they hold an important symbolic role in Sikh ceremonies and history, representing the collective commitment to uphold justice, righteousness, and faith, inspiring Sikhs worldwide to practice these virtues in everyday life.
