Panel Study

A panel study is a research method where the same group of people, called a panel, is surveyed or observed multiple times over a period. This approach allows researchers to track changes and developments within individuals or groups, making it easier to analyze patterns, cause-and-effect relationships, and trends over time. For example, a panel study might follow the same households annually to understand changes in income, health, or attitudes. It’s valuable because it provides consistent data on the same subjects, helping researchers see how things evolve rather than just taking a snapshot at one point in time.
