Pandemic Influenza Preparedness Framework (PIP Framework)
The Pandemic Influenza Preparedness (PIP) Framework is an international agreement created by WHO to ensure global cooperation in preventing, preparing for, and responding to flu pandemics. It facilitates sharing of flu viruses with pandemic potential and promotes equitable access to vaccines, medicines, and other resources during outbreaks. The framework aims to improve early detection, coordination, and support among countries, especially helping low- and middle-income nations, to better handle pandemic threats and protect global health.
