Pandectists

Pandectists were legal scholars in the 19th century who studied and organized Roman law’s comprehensive collection of legal principles, known as the Pandects or Digest. They aimed to interpret and systematize these ancient laws to create a unified legal framework applicable across different regions. Their work influenced modern civil law systems by emphasizing clarity, consistency, and scholarly analysis of legal texts.
