Pancreatic Neoplasm
Pancreatic neoplasm, or pancreatic tumor, is a growth that forms in the pancreas, an organ behind the stomach that aids digestion and blood sugar regulation. These tumors can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Pancreatic cancer is known for being aggressive and often diagnosed late because symptoms are subtle initially. Common signs include jaundice (yellowing skin), weight loss, abdominal pain, and digestive issues. Risk factors include age, smoking, family history, and certain medical conditions. Early detection is challenging, making treatment more difficult. Management typically involves surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation, depending on the tumor's size and spread.
