Pancreatic enzymes

Pancreatic enzymes are natural proteins produced by the pancreas that aid in digestion. They break down food components like fats, proteins, and carbohydrates into smaller, absorbable molecules so our bodies can use nutrients effectively. These enzymes include lipase (for fats), amylase (for carbohydrates), and proteases like trypsin and chymotrypsin (for proteins). When the pancreas healthy, it releases these enzymes into the small intestine, ensuring smooth digestion. If the pancreas doesn't produce enough enzymes due to illness or injury, digestion can be impaired, leading to symptoms like weight loss, bloating, and nutrient deficiencies.
