Pamirs
The Pamirs are a high-altitude mountain region located mainly in Tajikistan and surrounding countries in Central Asia. Often called the "Roof of the World," they feature some of the world’s tallest peaks outside the Himalayas, including Kongur Tagh and Muztagh Ata. The area is known for its rugged terrain, glaciers, and diverse cultures. Historically, it has served as a key relay point along ancient trade routes like the Silk Road. Today, the Pamirs are significant for their natural beauty, unique ecosystems, and strategic importance in regional geopolitics.
