Palmyrene script
Palmyrene script is an ancient alphabet used in the city of Palmyra in present-day Syria, around the 1st to 3rd centuries CE. It is a variation of the Aramaic script, tailored specifically for the Palmyrene language and inscriptions. The script is written from right to left and consists of 22 characters, with some letters changing form depending on their position in a word. It was used mainly for monumental inscriptions, seals, and religious texts, providing valuable insights into the culture and language of that ancient civilization.
