Palestinian National Council
The Palestinian National Council (PNC) is the main legislative body representing Palestinians worldwide. It functions as a political assembly that makes decisions on matters related to Palestinian self-governance and national rights. Established in 1964, the PNC serves as the highest decision-making institution within the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). It gathers representatives from various Palestinian communities to discuss policies, approve leadership, and promote national unity. While it does not have full sovereign powers, the PNC plays a central role in articulating Palestinian interests and coordinating efforts toward statehood and independence.
