Paleolithic archeology

Paleolithic archaeology studies the earliest period of human history, when humans used simple stone tools. This era, also called the Old Stone Age, spans from about 2.5 million years ago to around 10,000 years ago. Archaeologists examine ancient tools, caves, and fossils to understand early humans’ lives, including their hunting, gathering, social structures, and their adaptation to changing environments. Discoveries provide insights into human evolution, technological development, and the origins of culture. This field helps trace how early humans survived and gradually developed skills that laid the foundation for future civilizations.
