Paleoamerican
"Paleoamerican" refers to the early peoples who first inhabited the Americas during the Paleoindian period, approximately 13,000 to 8,000 years ago. These groups migrated from Asia via Beringia, the land bridge between Asia and North America, and adapted to diverse environments across the continents. They are characterized by their hunting tools, such as large stone spear points called Clovis points, and their lifestyle as hunter-gatherers. Understanding Paleoamericans helps us trace the origins of indigenous peoples in the Americas and provides insight into human migration and adaptation following the last Ice Age.
