Palais des Tuileries

The Palais des Tuileries, originally built in the 16th century, was a royal palace in Paris, located near the Louvre. It served as a residence for French monarchs, including Louis XIV and Napoleon Bonaparte. The palace was noted for its beautiful gardens and grand architecture, reflecting the style of the time. However, it was heavily damaged during the Paris Commune in 1871 and ultimately demolished in the 1880s.
