Palace of Soviets
The Palace of Soviets was a planned monumental building in Moscow, intended to be the world's largest assembly hall and a symbol of Soviet power. Designed during the 1930s, it was meant to showcase communist ideals through its grand architecture. Construction was delayed by World War II and never completed; the site was eventually turned into the Palace of Sport. The project reflected Soviet ambitions for grandeur and ideological expression, but remained an unfinished and symbolic structure rather than a functional space.
