PAL (Phase Alteration Line)
PAL, or Phase Alternation Line, is a color encoding system used in television broadcasting primarily in Europe and parts of Asia. It transmits color information by switching the phase of the color signal with each line, which helps reduce color errors and improve image stability. This method is combined with black-and-white (monochrome) signals, allowing the TV to display accurate colors even if the color signal is partially disrupted. PAL enhances color fidelity and reduces flickering or color inaccuracies, making it a reliable standard for transmitting television signals with vibrant, stable images.
