Pakistani independence movement

The Pakistani independence movement was a struggle for Muslim-majority regions of British India to establish a separate homeland, due to concerns over political representation and cultural identity under British rule and a Hindu majority. Led by leaders like Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the movement argued that Muslims needed a separate nation to protect their interests. After years of negotiation and unrest, Pakistan was finally created in 1947, representing a new country for Muslims. The movement was marked by political activism, negotiations, and, unfortunately, significant violence during partition, which also led to widespread displacement and suffering.
