Pain Relievers
Pain relievers, also called analgesics, are medications that reduce or eliminate pain by acting on your nervous system. They work in different ways: some block signals from injury, others reduce inflammation that causes pain, and some alter your brain’s perception of pain. Examples include acetaminophen (Tylenol), which eases mild pain and fever, and NSAIDs like ibuprofen, which reduce pain and swelling. Opioids are stronger medications used for severe pain but carry risks of dependence. It's important to use them responsibly and follow medical guidance to manage pain effectively and safely.
