They are part of the Korwa ethnic group and are known for their rich cultural traditions, language, and craftsmanship. Traditionally, they practice shifting cultivation, hunting, and gathering, and often live in forested areas. Despite their vibrant culture, many Pahari Korwa face socio-economic challenges such as limited access to education, healthcare, and resources. Recognized as a Scheduled Tribe, they are protected under government policies aimed at preserving their identity and supporting their development.
