Pacific Campaign

The Pacific Campaign was a major series of battles during World War II between Allied forces, primarily the United States, and Japan, across the Pacific Ocean and Asia. It aimed to weaken Japan’s military power and recapture territories they had occupied, like the Philippines and Guam. Key strategies included island-hopping—taking control of strategic islands to move closer to Japan—and intense naval and air battles. This campaign was crucial in turning the tide of the war in favor of the Allies, leading ultimately to Japan’s surrender in 1945.
