Période viking

The Viking Age, or "Période viking," roughly spans from the late 8th to the early 11th century. It was a period marked by Norse seafarers from Scandinavia who explored, raided, traded, and settled across parts of Europe, Asia, and even North America. These Vikings were skilled sailors and warriors, known for their distinctive longships. The era significantly impacted European history through cultural exchanges, urban development, and the establishment of trade routes. It ended as Scandinavian societies stabilized and converted to Christianity, transitioning into more settled, organized kingdoms.
