The Philippine Supreme Court is the highest judicial authority in the Philippines. It reviews and decides on important legal issues, including cases that challenge laws or government actions, and ensures laws are applied correctly. It also interprets the constitution and protects constitutional rights. Its decisions are final and binding, serving as the ultimate authority on legal matters in the country. The Court is composed of a Chief Justice and 14 Associate Justices, all of whom are appointed and serve until age 70.
