P. pygmaeus, commonly known as the Soprano Pipistrelle, is a small bat species found across parts of Europe, including the UK. It is one of the tiniest bats, with a wingspan of about 19-25 cm. This bat is nocturnal, hunting insects during warm summer nights. It tends to roost in buildings, tree cavities, and behind loose bark.
