Oxidizer

An oxidizer is a substance that supplies oxygen to a chemical reaction, typically helping fuel to burn more efficiently or vigorously. In practical terms, oxidizers are found in things like fireworks, rocket propellants, and some cleaning agents. They don’t burn on their own but enable or accelerate combustion by providing the oxygen needed. Because of their ability to support rapid reactions, oxidizers must be handled carefully to prevent unintended fires or explosions, especially when in contact with flammable materials. Essentially, they enhance the chemical reaction by ensuring ample oxygen is available for combustion.
