Oxford idealism
Oxford idealism is a philosophical view that suggests reality is fundamentally mental or spiritual rather than physical. It originated in the early 20th century at the University of Oxford, primarily through philosophers like J.M.E. McTaggart and George Edward Moore. They argued that the material world is dependent on or a manifestation of our minds or a divine mind. Essentially, consciousness and mental processes are primary, and what we see as physical objects are, in a sense, ideas or perceptions within a larger, rational mind. This view challenges the idea that the material world exists independently of our perception.
