Ovis canadensis

Ovis canadensis, commonly known as the bighorn sheep, is a wild mammal native to North America. Recognizable by its large, curved horns—especially prominent in males—these sheep are well-adapted to rugged mountainous terrains. They are agile climbers, using their horns for dominance displays and fighting during mating season. Bighorn sheep are herbivores, primarily feeding on grasses, shrubs, and herbs. Social animals, they often live in herds, with males (rams) and females (ewes) forming separate groups. They play a key role in their ecosystems by influencing plant growth and serving as prey for predators.
