Outgroup homogeneity bias
Outgroup homogeneity bias is the tendency to see members of a group different from your own as all very similar, often ignoring individual differences. For example, if you think of a specific group as having a single trait, you might believe everyone in that group shares it, even though they may not. This bias can lead to stereotyping and misunderstandings because it simplifies the diversity within groups and overgeneralizes traits across all members of an outgroup.
