Outdoor Lions
Outdoor lions are male lions that have left their birth pride to establish their own territory, often through competition or when the pride's dominant male is deposed. They roam large areas alone or with a coalition of other males, seeking opportunities to take over a pride, mate, and reproduce. Outside the pride, they focus on hunting and defending their territory from rivals. This period of roaming is critical for their survival and genetic diversity, but it also exposes them to dangers like injuries or rival attacks. Once successful, they may become pride males, leading a new social group.
